Abstract

In June 2025 there was y-on-y inflation of 2.44 percent or an increase in the Consumer Price Index (CPI) from 105.54 in June 2024 to 108.11 in June 2025.
Y-on-y inflation occurred due to an increase in prices as indicated by the increase in nine of the eleven expenditure group indices, namely: education group by 22.05 percent; personal care and other services group by 10.57 percent; health group by 6.11 percent; food, beverages and tobacco group by 1.57 percent; household supplies, equipment and routine maintenance group by 0.95 percent; food and beverage/restaurant supply group by 0.68 percent; clothing and footwear group by 0.66 percent; recreation, sports and culture group by 0.51 percent; information, communication and financial services group by 0.03 percent.
The month to month (m-to-m) and year to date (y-to-d) inflation rates were 0.42 percent and 0.82 percent, respectively.
