Abstract

In April 2025, there was y-on-y inflation of 1.96 percent or an increase in Consumer Price Index (CPI) from 106.04 in April 2024 to 108.12 in April 2025.
The y-on-y inflation occurred due to price increases indicated by the increase in eight of the eleven expenditure group indices, namely: education group by 21.97 percent; personal care and other services group by 11.09 percent; health group by 6.22 percent; food supply and beverages/restaurants group by 1.35 percent; household supplies, equipment and routine maintenance group by 1.19 percent; clothing and footwear group by 0.8 percent; recreation, sports and culture group by 0.49 percent; food, beverage and tobacco group by 0.48 percent.
The month to month (m-to-m) and year to date (y-to-d) inflation rates were 1.1 percent and 0.83 percent, respectively.
