Abstract

In October 2024, there was y-on-y inflation of 2.51 percent, or an increase in the Consumer Price Index (CPI) from 103.82 in October 2023 to 106.43 in October 2024.

The y-on-y inflation occurred due to an increase in prices indicated by an increase in the index of all expenditure groups, namely: education group by 21.97 percent; personal care and other services group by 6.41 percent; health group by 4.99 percent; food, beverage and tobacco group by 2.05 percent; housing, water, electricity, and household fuel group by 1.53 percent; food and beverage/restaurant provision group by 1.09 percent; clothing and footwear group by 0.97 percent; recreation, sports, and culture group by 0.51 percent; household equipment, tools and routine maintenance group by 0.42 percent; information, communication, and financial services group by 0.18 percent; and the transportation group by 0.15 percent.

The m-to-m deflation rate and the y-to-d inflation rate were 0.03 percent and 1.57 percent, respectively.
