January 2024: Bima Municipality Inflation of 2.22 percent

Abstract

In August 2024 there will be y-on-y inflation of 2.22 percent, or an increase in the Consumer Price Index (CPI) from 103.23 in August 2023 to 105.52 in August 2024.

Y-on-y inflation occurred due to an increase in prices as indicated by an increase in ten of the eleven expenditure group indices, namely: personal care and other services group by 5.69 percent; health group at 5.09 percent; food, beverage and tobacco group at 3.42 percent; transportation group by 1.52 percent; food and beverage/restaurant provision group at 1.29 percent; housing, water, electricity and household fuel group at 1.22 percent; clothing and footwear group by 0.99 percent; recreation, sports and culture group at 0.51 percent; information, communication and financial services group at 0.17 percent; and the education group was 0.01 percent. Meanwhile, the equipment, tools and routine household maintenance commodity group experienced y-on-y deflation of 0.36 percent.

The m-to-m inflation rate and y-to-d inflation rate are 0.25 percent and 0.70 percent respectively
