July 2024: Bima City Inflation (Y-on-Y) of 1.98 percent

Abstract

In July 2024 there will be y-on-y inflation of 1.98 percent, or an increase in the Consumer Price Index (CPI) from 103.22 in July 2023 to 105.26 in July 2024.

Y-on-y inflation occurred due to an increase in prices as indicated by an increase in ten of the eleven expenditure group indices, namely: personal care and other services group by 5.22 percent; food, beverage and tobacco group by 2.9 percent; transportation group by 1.79 percent; housing, water, electricity and household fuel group at 1.42 percent; health group by 1.37 percent; food and beverage/restaurant provision group at 1.21 percent; recreation, sports and culture group at 0.89 percent; clothing and footwear group at 0.86 percent; information, communication and financial services group at 0.17 percent; and the equipment, tools and routine household maintenance group at 0.15 percent. Meanwhile, the education commodity group was observed to be stable.

The m-to-m deflation rate and y-to-d inflation rate were 0.27 percent and 0.45 percent respectively.
