Abstract

In August 2016 the city of Bima experienced inflation of 0.08 percent, with the Consumer Price Index (CPI) amounted to 129.71. Of the 82 cities, 33 cities experienced inflation and 49 cities experienced deflation. Inflation figures Bima City ranks 28 national rankings. The highest inflation was in the city of Manokwari 1.27 percent and the lowest occurred in the city of Jakarta and Kendari by 0.01 percent. The highest deflation occurred in the city of Kupang 0.87 percent and the lowest deflation occurred in the city of Cilegon 0.01 percent.

Inflation in Bima City in August 2016 was influenced by the increase in the index in five groups, while two other groups experienced deflation. Five groups of inflation, namely food, beverages, cigarettes and tobacco by 0.71 percent, housing, water, electricity, gas and fuel by 0.74 percent, clothing inflation of 0.66 percent, health group by 0.43 percent, and education, recreation and sports amounted to 0.54 percent. The other two groups, namely foodstuffs deflation deflation of 0.98 percent and in the transport, communication and financial services 0.01 percent deflation. The inflation rate of calendar year (January to August 2016) amounted to 3.59 percent and the rate of inflation "year on year" (August 2016 to August 2015) amounted to 6.16 percent.
