Abstract
Statistics Indonesia has
carried out data collection on Village Potential (Podes) 2024 in May 2024 in a
census of all regency/municipalities, subdistricts, and the lowest government
administrative areas at the village level. The village-level administrative
areas covered by Podes include villages, kelurahan, nagari in West Sumatra, the
Transmigration Settlement Unit (UPT), and the Transmigration Settlement Unit
(SPT) which are still being fostered by the relevant ministries. The results of
the 2024 Podes data collection noted that 84.276 government administrative
areas at the village level consisted of 75.753 villages, 8.486 kelurahan, and
37 UPT/SPT. In addition, it is also known that the number of subdistricts is
7.281 and the number of regencies/cities is 514. Podes 2024 collects a variety
of information, both those are potential for subdistricts information related
to vulnerabilities or challenges faced by subdistricts and basic infrastructure
in village/kelurahan. Information related to the potential of the subdistrictsincludes:
demography and employment, settlement and enironment, education, health,
socio-culture, sports and entertainment, transportation, communication and
information, economy, security, development and empowerment of the subdistrictscommunity.
Information related to vulnerabilities or challenges includes natural
disasters, environmental pollution, social and health problems in the
community, and security disturbances that occur in subdistricts Infrastructure
information in subdistrictsincludes: education, health and economic
infrastructure.The results of Podes 2024 in Bima Municipality shows
that most of the kelurahan in Bima Municipality have people working in wholesale and retail
trade; repair of motor vehicle and motorcycles, namely 15 subdistricts. In addition, there are 13 subdistricts where most of the people work in agriculture, forestry and
fisheries, and there are 10 subdistricts where
most of the people work in the public administration and defence; compulsory
social security. The number of subdistricts communities working in agriculture in Bima Municipality is supported by the
presence of rivers, irrigation canals and reservoirs located in subdistricts. Of the 41 subdistricts in Bima Municipality, there are 39 subdistricts with rivers, 29 subdistrictswith
irrigation canals, and 8 subdistricts with river/lake/pool/reservoir/dam. Podes 2024 in Bima Municipality shows the economic potential of subdistricts there are 18 subdistricts that have superior goods products and there are 1 subdistrict that export their superior products to
other countries. In supporting the movement of the economy, it is not only
supported by physical facilities, but the support of credit facilities and
telecommunication network facilities is important nowadays so that economic
growth can be carried out faster. The results of Podes 2024 show that 39 subdistricts have People’s Business Credit (KUR), 23 subdistricts have Joint Business Credit (KUBE), 9 subdistricts have Small Business Credit (KUK). The
telecommunication network facilities covered by the Podes include the presence
of a Base Transceiver Station (BTS), cellular phone signals, and
cellular/mobile phone internet signals. All of subdistricts
have a cellular phone signal, but 4 subdistricts have weak signal strength in their area. Podes 2024 in Bima Municipality noted
that there were 1 subdistrict where
water pollution occurred in their territory, and there also were 1 subdistrict where
air pollution occurred in their territory. In addition to pollution incidents,
Podes 2024 shows natural disasters in the subdistricts area, of which 18 subdistricts experienced floods in their area, 4 subdistricts experienced earthquakes in their area,
and 3 subdistricts experienced
landslides in its territory. Podes 2024 also provides
various information related to the availability of infrastructure in various
fields in Indonesia. In the field of education, at the elementary school level,
it is known that there are 85 public and private elementary schools, and 10 public and private MI
spread across subdistricts in
Bima Municipality.
At the junior high school level, there are 26 public and private junior high
schools and 11
public and private MTs spread across subdistricts in Bima
Municipality. At the high school level, there are 15 public and private SMAs, 7 public and private MAs, 11 public and private SMKs
spread across subdistricts in
Bima Municipality.
At the academy/college level, there are 2 public academies/universities and
there are 12
private academies/universities in Indonesia. In the health sector, Podes 2024
shows that there are 5
hospitals in Bima
Municipality, of which the district of Raba is the district that has the most hospitals in Bima Municipality, namely 3 hospitals. In addition to
hospitals, the number of Public Health Center (Puskesmas) facilities in Bima Municipality based on the 2024 Podes is 1 inpatient health center and 6 health centers without
hospitalization.
The government prioritizes
Indonesia’s development from the periphery by strengthening regions and
villages within the framework of a unitary state. The results of Podes 2024 can
be used as material for regional analysis related to the economic, social and
regional facilities/infrastructure potential. In addition, it can also be used
in program evaluation and used in the formulation of regional-based
policies/strategies.
