Gender Statistics of Bima Municipality 2023

Golden Indonesia 2045 is the dream of the Indonesian people to become a nation that is advanced, superior and competitive with other nations. To make this happen, it is important for us to understand the basic things that influence the development of a country. The country's gender equality will help strengthen the ability to develop, escape poverty and implement government effectively. This means that efforts to equalize gender are an important strategy in development to empower society, both men and women (Diana N, 2023).Therefore, improving the quality of life for women, increasing the role of women in various areas of life, integrating gender perspectives at all stages of development, and strengthening gender mainstreaming institutions, both at the central and regional levels, are targets in national development.The role of women in development in Bima City cannot be underestimated. This can be seen from at least two things. First, women are partners for men in overcoming social, economic and political problems. Second, quality women also determine the quality of the next generation in the family.Gender development in terms of IPG figures shows that Bima City's IPG has experienced a slight increase over the last 4 years from 96.54 to 96.98. Gender development in terms of IDG index numbers shows that in the same period, Bima City's IDG numbers experienced a relatively small upward trend from 69.58 to 70.76. This is due to the representation of women in regional parliament members, apart from that, several of the constituent indicators show development, for example the percentage of women as professionals, including in this case the contribution of women to family income.
