Third Training Session for the “Beautiful Village” Program: Improving Statistical Literacy and Data Collection

June 29, 2026 | Other Activities

As part of the ongoing capacity-building series for the “Beautiful Village” Program, BPS Statistics-Bima City held its third training session in three subdistricts—Rabangodu Utara, Rabadompu Timur, and Ntobo—from June 22 to 29, 2026. This activity aims to support subdistricts in becoming data-driven and capable of producing high-quality sectoral statistics. The “Beautiful Village” Program is designed to enhance the capacity of subdistrict officials and statistical agents to understand, manage, and utilize data to support development at the subdistrict level.

During this training, BPS Statistics-Bima City provided presentations on statistical literacy, population data updates, and an overview of statistical business processes. The session was conducted interactively through lectures, discussions, and hands-on practice filling out data collection forms. Participants’ enthusiasm was evident in their active discussions regarding the challenges they would face during field data collection, as well as efforts to improve data quality at the sub-district level.

This activity was attended by subdistrict officials, statistical agents, and RT heads from each subdistrict. It is hoped that through this training, awareness of the importance of statistical data as the foundation for developing targeted development programs will continue to grow. Synergy between BPS Statistics-Bima City, subdistrict governments, statistical agents, and subdistrict unit (RT) heads in each area can continue to be fostered to achieve better data governance and support the implementation of the “One Data Indonesia” program down to the subdistrict level.
