Implementation of the March 2025 National Socio-Economic Survey (Susenas) in Bima City

Implementation of the March 2025 National Socio-Economic Survey (Susenas) in Bima City

February 7, 2025 | Other Activities

The Central Statistics Agency (BPS) is currently organizing the March 2025 National Socio-Economic Survey (Susenas). Susenas is one of the main surveys organized by BPS to collect data on the social and economic conditions of people in Indonesia. The data obtained from this activity is used by the government to design and implement national development in line with the National Medium-Term Development Plan (RPJMN) 2020-2024, the Technocratic Draft Concept of RPJMN 2025-2029, and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

The implementation of Susenas March 2025 included various activities carried out at the central and regional levels, including BPS Kota Bima. On February 1-6, 2025, household updating activities were carried out in selected Census Blocks (BS). Updating is an activity to obtain a sample frame of households before the Susenas data collection. BPS Bima City updated data in 57 Census Blocks spread across all urban villages in Bima City. After updating the BS content, a sample of 10 respondents will be drawn in each BS. Thus, the total sample of Susenas March 2025 in Kota Bima was 570 respondents.

After the data updating process, Susenas activities will continue to the household data collection stage. The implementation of this activity will take place on February 8-27. The data collection officer will directly interview the respondents selected as the sample to find out the socioeconomic conditions in the household.

BPS Bima City pays serious attention to Susenas data. To ensure the quality of the data, BPS Bima City supervises the data collection officers. Organic staff conduct supervision to assist field data collectors. This aims to prevent errors and overcome obstacles that occur in the field so that the process runs smoothly and produces quality data.
